July 9: Session Two - AUTHORS AND EDITORS: Holding Hands or Butting Heads?

- Bloopers for comic relief, followed by tips and tricks to help authors avoid these mistakes
- Professional edit of five manuscript pages
La Cañada Flintridge native Laurie Gibson is a graduate of La Cañada High School, Pasadena City College, and California State University, Northridge. She has edited/proofread hundreds of books, including recent editions of classic novels such as The Color Purple and Mrs. Dalloway, as well as the writing of musician Jimmy Buffett and success guru Brian Tracy. Her current clients include publishers such as Stanford University and Patagonia Books, as well as New York Times bestselling novelists. Laurie also taught editing for the Extension programs at University of California, San Diego and Los Angeles.
