Fiction author Jennifer Spiegel in conversation with friend and actress Megan Austin Oberle

AND SO WE DIE, HAVING FIRST SLEPT, is about marriage, youth, middle-age, Gen X, and fidelity. Brett is older than Cash by a decade; both are world-weary -- one from negotiating brain trauma and rehab and the absence of pretty boys, the other from addiction and road trips and even a Billy Graham crusade. Bath salts and babies work on their ten-year relationship, forcing them to begin again one way or another. Sappho is involved.

JENNIFER SPIEGEL is mostly a fiction writer. She also teaches English and creative writing. Currently, Spiegel is working on a memoir, Cancer, I'll Give You One Year: A Non-Informative Guide To Breast Cancer, or Cancer, I'll Give You One Year: How To Get Your Ba-Da-Bing Boobies On The House! She lives with her family in Arizona.

MEGAN AUSTIN OBERLE is a writer and actress, best known for Ping! (2000), Six Feet Under (2001) and ER (1994). She is also an artist and a member of the Angeles Crest Art Guild.
